TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your Stellar Life, Inc.
Effective Date: March 7, 2025
By booking a session, enrolling in a program, or using resources from Your Stellar Life, Inc., you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not proceed with services.
1. INITIAL CONSULTATION
You may be offered a free 20-minute online consultation. This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn about the services, and determine if we're a good fit. No therapy will be provided during this call.
Any estimated number of sessions shared is a general guideline and may change as we progress.
2. BOOKING & PAYMENTS
Sessions & Programs
All services are payable in advance, either as a one-time payment or on a monthly plan if available. Payment is required to confirm your place in any session or program.
Programs & Packages
Full details and pricing are disclosed before enrollment.
Custom coaching or Stellar Life Method™ packages with 6- or 12-month commitments are non-refundable and considered an ongoing time commitment.
If you discontinue a prepaid multi-session package early, a pro-rated refund may be issued, deducting full standard fees for used sessions.
Session Expiry: All purchased sessions must be used within 6 months unless otherwise agreed in writing. After that time, unused sessions will be forfeited without refund.
Program Pauses: For long-term programs, pauses may be requested in writing due to emergencies. Approval is discretionary, and the original timeline still applies unless agreed otherwise.
Commitment Packages: Multi-month packages are available at various commitment levels. Full pricing, payment options, and any applicable discounts are disclosed at the time of enrollment.
Paid-in-full packages are non-refundable. If you choose to discontinue early, no refund will be issued for unused months.
Monthly packages may be cancelled or paused with 30 days written notice. Pause requests are subject to approval at my discretion.
3. CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING & REFUNDS
In-person sessions: Minimum 48 hours' notice required.
Online sessions: Minimum 24 hours' notice required.
Cancellations after the notice window are non-refundable.
No-Show Policy
Failure to attend without notice is considered a no-show and will be charged in full. Repeated no-shows may result in termination of services without refund.
Group Programs — General
Replays are provided; live attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Upgraded 1:1 sessions booked as part of programs are non-refundable once completed or scheduled.
Group Programs with Immediate Digital Access (e.g., Stellar Sleep)
Programs that include immediate access to digital content, downloadable recordings, or live sessions upon enrollment are non-refundable. All sales are final. By enrolling, you acknowledge that access to program materials begins immediately upon purchase.
4. SESSION ATTENDANCE
Please be available at your session start time. If you're running late, I'll try to accommodate a full session, but this may not be possible due to other bookings.
5. TECHNOLOGY & CONNECTIVITY (ONLINE SESSIONS)
You're responsible for a stable internet connection and a quiet environment. If a session is disrupted on your end, rescheduling is at my discretion. If disruption occurs on my end, I'll reschedule at no additional cost.
6. CONTACT BETWEEN SESSIONS
Contact between sessions is by email, phone, or text during office hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm Pacific). Messages outside these hours will be responded to the next business day.
7. HEALTH & SAFETY
Disclose relevant medical or psychological conditions.
If you're under medical or psychiatric care, you may be asked to obtain written approval from your provider before beginning therapy.
I do not work with clients experiencing psychosis or epilepsy.
8. AGE REQUIREMENTS
Clients must be 18 or older for online sessions. Clients under 18 must have parental or guardian consent and accompaniment.
9. HYPNOTHERAPY & GUIDED VISUALIZATION RECORDINGS
Safety Notice: Guided hypnosis and visualization recordings are deeply relaxing and should only be listened to when you are in a safe, stationary environment. Never listen while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation that requires your full attention.
Personal Use Only: All recordings, materials, and content are for your personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed in any form.
Community & Download Access: For group programs, session recordings will be made available for download in your private course portal. You are encouraged to download your recordings for ongoing personal use. Community access is time-limited and will close at the end of the program period as specified at enrollment (e.g., 5 weeks for a 4-week program). After this period, community access will not be extended or renewed.
10. CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
All sessions and communication are confidential unless:
- You provide written consent
- Required by law or court order
- There's a risk of harm to self or others
- Abuse of a minor or vulnerable person is suspected
- A healthcare professional requests a report (with your permission)
Occasional peer consultations may occur under full anonymity.
By using services, you agree to the terms of the Your Stellar Life, Inc. Privacy Policy available on the website.
11. GROUP PROGRAM CONDUCT
Respectful and safe participation is expected in all group programs. Disruptive, inappropriate, or abusive behavior may result in removal without refund.
12. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
You agree to:
- Fully engage in the therapeutic process
- Follow through on exercises, recordings, or practices between sessions
- Understand that motivation and participation are key to your success
Therapy is a collaboration and not a passive process.
13. TESTIMONIALS & SUCCESS STORIES
Anonymized success stories or comments may be used in blogs, social media, or marketing materials unless you request otherwise. Identifying details are always removed or changed.
14. PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES & CONDUCT
- Attend sessions sober (unless on prescribed medication)
- Respectful behavior is required at all times
Abusive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior will result in session termination and may bar future sessions, with no refund.
15. RESULTS DISCLAIMER
While I commit to using my skills and experience to support you, no specific outcomes are guaranteed. Results vary from person to person. Many people experience significant shifts; however, individual results depend on a variety of factors including participation, personal history, and readiness for change.
16. LIABILITY & INDEMNITY
You agree that Your Stellar Life, Inc. and Laura Kate McHugh are not liable for outcomes related to services, except in cases of gross negligence or malpractice. You agree to indemnify against claims or damages arising from participation.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of California and the United States. All disputes will be handled in California courts.
18. TERMS REVISIONS
These terms may be updated at any time. Please check back for the latest version before resuming services after a break.
19. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & CONSENT
By booking services or enrolling in a program, you confirm that:
- You understand the scope and limitations of the services provided
- You accept that this is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care
- You can end services at any time
- You agree to participate actively and honestly
- You've disclosed relevant personal and health information to the best of your ability
- For programs with immediate digital access, you understand and agree that all sales are final
